Prepare your mind for deeper meditations and more stable understanding
This special series will offer insights into the practice of Heart Jewel and particularly
how to receive the wisdom blessings of Guru Je Tsongkhapa. By receiving his blessings we can gain all the realizations of the path to enlightenment. “What we need is not displays of miracle powers but a clear example of how to enter an unmistaken spiritual path, how to practice that path comfortably and smoothly, and how to complete it successfully. This is the actual method for solving our daily problems.” Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
What to expect: This series is offered by live-stream only and is led by Noreen Flack, Resident Teacher at KMC Austin. Each class includes a teaching on the seven wisdoms along with guided meditations and Heart Jewel Prayers. Participants may want to purchase a copy of the Dharma text Heart Jewel along with Heart Jewel prayer booklet through Tharpa Publiciations US.

A mala, like a rosary, is a string of beads used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra. For Buddhist practitioners, this ritual object is revered as precious, becoming more powerful and meaningful the more it is used. Both beautiful and spiritual, it is often carried with them or kept very close by.
Using beads of a wide variety of colors and materials, full length malas traditionally have 108 beads.
During this workshop, taught by Jamie Childers, KMC Austin teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a mala of your choice to use as your personal mala, give as a gift, or donate to the centre Bookstore & Shop..

Essence of good fortune prayers will be live-streamed. A dedication for world peace. Everyone Welcome!
Prayers for World Peace is a free meditation class that gives us the opportunity to develop a warm and loving heart and to help create both inner and outer peace. By learning to cherish others we can experience greater peace of mind and help establish world peace in general. Through contemplating these prayers compiled by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Riponche, we learn to cherish all living beings.
"If everyone sincerely prays to be able to cherish others, then gradually through the power of this prayer, everyone will actually cherish each other. The world will then be permanently at peace, and pure and everlasting happiness will pervade the entire world."
What to expect. Prayers for World Peace Puja (singing prayers) starts with a brief guided breathing meditation and short teaching, and conclude with singing prayers with a five minutes timeframe to meditate and focus on the meaning of the prayers.
